Devin Pintozzi:

One Welcome to Spotlight for Success by American Book Company. We are here at the South Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics with Casey with Real Estate Mortgage. How are you today?

Kasey Grossman:

Good Great.

Devin Pintozzi:

Wonderful.

Kasey Grossman:

Absolutely. I'm here with Carolina One Mortgage and they are partnered with Carolina One Real Estate.

Devin Pintozzi:

Wonderful, that's great. So if you can tell us, with Carolina One Mortgage, the kinds of things that you do for your clients,

Kasey Grossman:

Yeah, absolutely so we partner with the real estate company, but we can help anybody in the state of South Carolina and to get them pre-approved to move into their dream home.

Devin Pintozzi:

That is wonderful. To move into their dream home, that is wonderful. What are some of the steps that a client would take working with Carolina One Mortgage?

Kasey Grossman:

Yeah, so three of the biggest things that might prevent someone from buying a house is income, assets and credit. So fortunately, with our company, we offer so many great incentives, as well as a credit enhancement program, to really get everyone where they need to be in order to get the best interest rate possible to buy a house. So, along with that, we also have down payment assistance programs in the state of South Carolina, and those are actually some of my most common loans, because might as well give out some more down payment money. So, yeah, absolutely so. It's a great, great programs that we offer.

Devin Pintozzi:

That is wonderful, Kasey. So was this something you wanted to do when you went to college earlier?

Kasey Grossman:

Yeah. So I went to college and I kind of shadowed in this industry and after seeing all the success stories and people really seeing this job make a difference in people's lives, moving into their first homes and even some people at the age of 18, some people at the age of 60 for their first homes, and it's just, it's just an incredible feeling getting people in a house.

Devin Pintozzi:

Gosh, that's wonderful. Do you have a specific story you could share about helping a client?

Kasey Grossman:

Yeah, absolutely so, with our credit enhancement program. It is incredible because I've seen scores go from the 400s all the way to the six 700s in order to get someone pre-approved in that house.

Devin Pintozzi:

Wow, that is incredible, Casey. What great work you're doing there.

Kasey Grossman:

Thank you.

Devin Pintozzi:

and do you have anything else you'd like to share with the South Carolina Council Teachers Mathematics community?

Kasey Grossman:

Yep, other than in the spring. Every year we have a program that comes out with South Carolina State Housing that is specialized to teachers for down payment assistance, and it's different the terms are different every year but it's such a great program and so let's get you pre-approved now, so whenever that program comes out, you guys will be ready to go.

Devin Pintozzi:

There we go. Let's go and get everybody in a home right.

Kasey Grossman:

Absolutely.

Devin Pintozzi:

All right. Well, thank you, casey, thank you for speaking with us, and I hope the rest of the conference is fantastic for all of you.

Kasey Grossman:

Perfect. Thank you so much.

Devin Pintozzi:

Thank you.
