Welcome to Spotlight for Success by American Book Company. I am Devin Pentosi, your host. We are here in wonderful New Orleans at the LACU 2025 conference. And we are so excited to be here with our special guest today, Emma Jones. Emma Jones, welcome.

Hi, how are you doing?

SPEAKER_01:

Emma Jones joins us from uh Bogaloosa City Schools. Is that right?

SPEAKER_00:

That is correct.

SPEAKER_01:

All right. So, Emma, can you tell us a bit about what brings you here to LACU?

SPEAKER_00:

Well, I've been coming to LACU for the past five years, and I always come so I could get more resources to use in the classroom, different ideas, technology, so I could bring back to my school so I could use it in the classroom.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, that's wonderful. And uh can you tell me uh a little bit about uh uh what you do specifically in the in the classroom? Thank you for watching Spotlight for Success. Oh wow, that's wonderful. And uh can you tell us uh do you have a special moment where you're like, wow, this is why I got into teaching?

SPEAKER_00:

There's so many of them. But my biggest thing is when I see my kids graduate and they're successful, and they come back to school and say, hey, Miss Jones, because of you, and also I just love that.

SPEAKER_01:

Oh, that's awesome. That's great. Um, is there anything in specifically that you're hoping to get out of LACU's conference?

SPEAKER_00:

More information and um excitement to bring in my classroom.

SPEAKER_01:

Continue doing this. We love it, we um it's exciting, knowledgeable. So continue.
